Where have I been?

I'm currently enrolled in 3 classes and 1 lab. Of those classes, easily the most high demanding of my free time is Intermediate Watercolor. I didn't think it would be, but I guess I should have known when I decided to take on detailed projects like a mad person. What do I mean by detailed projects? This is what I am currently cooking up:

I could have just done flowers in a vase. I could have painted fruit in a bowl. Even a sunset would have sufficed. But no, I just had to paint something super complicated that would end up sucking all my time away. The only good thing about all of this? It's so so so much fun. Out of all the paintings I've worked on so far this semester, this one is easily my favorite. While I love the technical skills that go into realism, there is something very freeing about working on something with abstract form.

I hope to go back to regular posting soon! 4 weeks left in the semester, so there is an end in sight! The good news is that I've been doing great in all my classes, and I got an A on both my Astronomy tests. So all the hard work is indeed paying off!

I also really appreciated all your positive feedback on my last watercolor painting! It is a part of what helps me keep going!

As World of Warcraft goblins screechingly say, "KEEP IT REAL!"

  2. Those painting are AMAZING! You were wondering what you could sell in an Etsy shop, I think you could definitely sell paintings like this! I have the tenancy to take on really complicated projects in school too, but I'm glad you're enjoying your project.

  5. Dude, I don't know how you do such intricate work with watercolors. I'll just bow at your awesomeness. Good luck with all of your classes and the upcoming end of terms! (Uh, awkward wording there, sorry. I'm procrastinating on doing taxes right now and my mind is thinking in jiberish.)
