Doodle Friday #4

What a surprise! Another unfinished sketchbook drawing! As you can see, this one was drawn almost seven years ago. Lately I've been revisiting some of my old drawings like this one and thinking of ways I can incorporate the ideas into my assignments now. It's easy for me to wonder if I've gotten lazy with with coming up with stuff, but I remind myself of this: why not recycle these ideas? Isn't that what sketchbooks are for? It's the place where you figure stuff out. (That and your brain?)
I also apologize for the lack of posts this week! I am currently sitting on a bunch of draft posts that are nestled snugly together on Blogger while I scramble to study for my first Astronomy test, while also trying to finish my second Intermediate Watercolor class project. They are both due on the same day, so I will be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief after Tuesday!
Have a great weekend, errrybody!
What a great idea! I'll have to wander through some of my old sketchbooks and projects. Once you enter the professional world it's so easy to get bogged down by perimeters and lose that sense of wonder and imagination.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are going to do so! It's one of the best things I've done to help kickstart my creative flow again.
DeleteOh my gosh! So magical. I love it. You should totally finish it.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I miss drawing magical things. :D
DeleteThat is a really neat drawing! I love the hair. Good luck on your projects :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! My favorite part to draw was the hair, actually. :D
DeleteYeah, sketchbooks are for storing ideas until you want to pick them up again! I love this person's hair. . .
ReplyDeleteHoorah for sketchbooks! And thank you - the hair was a treat to draw!
