Style Inspiration: Mori Girls

During the summer months I was hopping around on the internet when I stumbled into what I learned to be called "mori girls". Mori means forest in Japanese. What I love about this style is the emphasis on subtle hues that almost make them blend into the forest. Some of the variations can range from very pastel and feminine, to more of a tribal look using darker colors. There is also a heavy use of layering, but not in a way that would make the outfit look bulky. The mori girls actually look quite cozy most of the time.

Here are a few mori girl outfits that I find particularly appealing:

  1. I'd never heard about these mori girls before but I think you got me hooked, I love the soft, natural color pallete and woooow I need to figure out how to layer like them! The last girl is stunning, she's got a 'fishing-village-chic' thing going on and I love her hair.
