OOTD: Skeletons In The Closet

Dress: Thrifted via Value Village. Untagged by previous owner.
Shoes: Bandmade Bootie in Red via Modcloth
Necklace: An older gift, unaware of the origin.

Nestled in the warmth of several items of clothing, there lies specific pieces of thrifted dresses that goes unworn. Months, even years will go by and they fail to see the light of day. One of these pieces is this dress. Initially attracted to its intense pattern and harsh contrast, I bought it for sheer novelty. I've only worn it out on one occasion, and that was for a joint 24th birthday party in 2012 with Sofia. Everytime I look at it, I think of Cruella DeVille. Then I remembered that I have this two-tone wig that I bought for novelty's sake as well; the only wig that I own. Put these two together and I have an instant costume!

I tried to go for classy, but I fear that the fishnet tights may have made this outfit border on sleazy. I'll cut myself some slack since I'm not going to go out in public like this (I don't like looking TOO sexy), so I just wore this for fun at home. Playing dress up never gets old.

  1. You look awesome! Like a character from Rocky Horror, although I'm not sure which one. The wig and the slight redesign threw me off when I first clicked through, haha
