I don't play video games as much as I used to due to college taking up a great deal of my free time. The last RPG I played was Ni No Kuni, and I am still trudging my way through it, as the boss battles in that game can be pretty severe and test your patience. (Having to try and kill one boss 5 separate times takes a lot of self-control to not throw the controller at the TV screen.) After getting frustrated time and time again, I took a break from Ni No Kuni. My fiance went to go visit his family for a week, and came back with the first person shooter game Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. I don't normally play first person shooter games, but I have enjoyed previous Call of Duty games so I gave this one a try. Ignoring the campaign completely, Cameron and I delved straight into the online mode. There is something about that game that helps me unwind, even though I am cursing at the screen every time my character dies. It's thrilling in a sense, and makes my blood pump. If I told you that I played it while hula hooping yesterday, would you laugh?

  1. Funnily enough, my partner and I were just talking about how we don't play as much video games as we'd like to these days. He wants to get me into Bioshock, which I'm pretty ok with because I'm into dystopian story lines. Never played Call of Duty, though my younger brother has been obsessed for years. It seems entertaining enough for being a shooter game. On to your ensemble, the pattern on that dress is so lovely. It compliments the blue of your hair so well. I also love your tattoo! Care to tell me about it? xx

    1. I've never played Bioshock before, but I've heard very good things about it! I also enjoy a good dystopian story, whether it's in a video game, movie, or book.

Thank you in regards to my outfit! I don't wear this dress often enough. (When I first bought it, I wore it almost everyday!) My tattoo is just over a year old and is based on Alex Grey's drawing "The Seer". He is one of my favorite artists and I definitely recommend that you check out his art if you haven't already!

  2. Just to join in, bioshock is pretty awesome. (i actually enjoy just watching other people play it because it does pull you right in.). I'm pretty bad at first person shooters because I get really disorintated(sorry, no spell check on the phone. It kills me.). But husband is OBESSED with call of duty. I have to say I love all of the bright colors and its fun to see your tatoo! Its very pretty and seems very "you."

    1. Haha, I still get disoriented with first person shooters, too. I also have a difficult time aiming, and my reaction time is kind of bleh! There was one time I managed to kill someone very stupidly: I was spinning round and round while shooting into air when I finally hit them.

  3. I really like that jacket! I have such a hard time finding cool coats!
I always played Street Fighter, Darkstalkers 3, and Bust-a-Move (the bubble puzzle game) in college. I play Rock Band, and Tomb Raider and still bust out my Game Cube and 3DS (ANIMAL CROSSING!!!)

    1. Hey thanks! It's super warm and cozy!
There were a lot of good games on the Game Cube! My favorites were Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, and Skies of Arcadia!

  4. Sunset colors! I am really impressed that you can play a video game and hula hoop at the same time.

    1. The hula hoop eventually just dropped to the ground after about 5 minutes because it's difficult to do both!
