New Camera & The Night

A few weeks ago I was able to finally fulfill dream of owning a DSLR camera! It's a Canon 70D with a 18-135 mm lens. I'm overwhelmed by the fact that I can finally take more high quality photos, and it was a lot of fun taking pictures of my jewelry for the last shop update.

Last night I was finally able to take my camera out at night and snap some moon photos. I'm still getting used to all the new controls, but I have found out how to adjust that exposure, which has come in handy for these pictures taken at night. I wish I could have snapped a better picture of the moon, though. If anyone reading this has any tips for taking nighttime pictures with a DSLR, or just any tips in general, don't hesitate to share if you'd like!

  1. Um, these photos are amazing! You captured such a great mood.

I have the Canon 70D, too! I am in love with it. And the 18-135mm lens? How did I ever live without it?!

  2. Congratulations on the new camera! I thought my old camera was pretty good until I got a DSLR, they're magical! These shots are awesome. My favorite thing to do is mess around with long exposures at night, they always seem to bring out light and colors and you never knew was there. It's always a surprise!
